Relax in the wood-fired hot tub
We will practice five sessions of yoga together to create a space for quiet self enquiry, using the art of yoga to connect and rebalance ourselves through our breath and movement. Using the physical movements of yoga asana we will explore postures and stretches, particularly inversions, that help us relieve and even remove old tensions rebalancing the bodies systems. Through thoughtful movement we will begin to reconnect with our bodies finding a peaceful joyous space within ourselves and even practising turning our worlds upside down.
Rain or shine we will be cosy and exceptionally comfortable in the fabulously designed setting of the house and cottages, The shared areas of the kitchen lounges and gardens. There are many spaces to choose from to find your own quiet and peaceful place too.
The weekend of yoga will be gentle and inclusive, honouring this time of year -energising and nuturing – with sense of balance and self care.
On arrival on Friday evening we will settle in with a gentle style of Hatha yoga and meditation and enjoy a healthy meal together, and a yoga Nidra before bedtime.
On Saturday we will wake to a quiet meditative early practice, building up to stronger awakening postures and then a hearty healthy brunch. There will be a more dynamic style of yoga later in the morning with a chance to explore some more challenging inversion style postures relative to each person.
After lunch on Saturday we will have time to rest or enjoy a walk along the river Adur. This is also a good time to book in a massage with the amazing massueses Nicola and Rebecca have booked to join us.
Saturday evening we will share a meal after a gentle restorative yoga practice and immerse ourselves in the Elements of Yoga soundbath meditation, with Lois Richards.
After supper the rest of the evening is yours to relax. If you have a hot tub you are welcome to fire it up during the day for an evening of relaxing in the wood fired heated water under the stars.
On Sunday morning we will visit the local Yoga Garden Yurt at Knepp Safari for an energising practice. We will take a picnic breakfast and enjoy the opportunity to wander around the diverse and natural rewilding landscape of Knepp Safari.
There will be another meditation session around midday before a healthy lunch and a get together in the late afternoon before we depart
There will be a masseuse available throughout the weekend.
